Terms of Sale and License
Last updated: 10 October 2026
1. Purpose and scope
These terms (the "Terms") govern the supply of usage licenses for the PBRpainter software (the "Software"), published by Solide Tech — Rémi Ozeel EI (the "Publisher"), and the use of the Software, including during the free trial. They apply to any order placed from the website or from the Software. Placing an order implies acceptance of the Terms in force on the order date; a copy can be saved or printed from this page.
2. Publisher
Solide Tech — Rémi Ozeel, Sole proprietorship (French "entrepreneur individuel", EI)
625 Grande Rue, 78955 Carrières-sous-Poissy, France
SIRET: 898 709 290 00016

3. Role of Lemon Squeezy (reseller)
Licenses are sold through Lemon Squeezy, LLC, acting as reseller and merchant of record: Lemon Squeezy collects the payment, issues the invoice, collects and remits the VAT applicable in the buyer's country, and appears on the bank statement. The sales contract for the transaction is concluded with Lemon Squeezy, under its own terms, accepted at checkout. The right to use the Software is granted by the Publisher under these Terms, which apply in addition.
4. Software characteristics
PBRpainter is a PBR texture painting software for 3D models. It runs on Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. An Internet connection is required to activate the license or start the trial, then at least once every 14 days to verify the license (section 8). Its features are described on the website; the free trial lets you check, before buying, that the Software suits your needs and hardware.
5. Free trial
A free 14-day trial with all features can be started from the Software, without any payment method. It is limited to one trial per computer. When it ends, the Software locks until a license is activated. The trial carries no purchase obligation.
6. Price and payment
The price is the one shown on the Pricing page at the time of the order, all taxes included. The VAT amount, which depends on the buyer's country, and the total amount are shown by Lemon Squeezy before the payment is confirmed. Payment is due immediately and is made exclusively through Lemon Squeezy; the Publisher never has access to card data.
7. Order, key delivery and duration
After payment, the license key is displayed on the confirmation page. It is shown only once and is not sent by email: keep it safe. Lemon Squeezy emails a receipt summarizing the order. If the key is lost, the Publisher can issue a new one on request to [email protected], given the order number and the email address used for the purchase.
The license is valid for twelve (12) months from the order date. It is renewed by placing a new order, at the user's initiative, from the website or the Software: the new twelve-month period is added to the remaining period, and the key stays the same. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge. The Software warns about the upcoming expiration from 30 days before it.
8. Activation, workstation and online verification
- A license allows the Software to be used on one computer at a time. It is tied to that computer by a technical fingerprint computed locally (see the privacy policy).
- To switch computers, release the active seat from the Software or from the My license page, then activate the license on the new computer. To prevent key sharing, releases are limited to six (6) per 90-day period; beyond that, the Publisher can unlock the situation on a justified request (hardware failure or replacement).
- The Software verifies the license with the Publisher's server. It works offline for at most 14 days after the last successful check; after that, a connection is required to keep using it.
9. License grant
For the duration of the license, the Publisher grants the user a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use the Software, for private or professional purposes, within the limits of section 8. The Software remains the Publisher's property; the license does not transfer any ownership.
Except where expressly permitted by law, you may not:
- resell, rent, lend, transfer or share the license or the license key;
- copy, modify, decompile or disassemble the Software, subject to the exceptions of Articles L. 122-6-1 et seq. of the French Intellectual Property Code;
- circumvent, disable or tamper with the Software's licensing system.
Works created with the Software (textures, exported models) belong to the user, who may use them freely, including commercially, subject to third-party rights in assets the user imported. The material library shipped with the Software may be used in these works.
10. License expiration
When the license expires without renewal, the Software locks and cannot be used until a valid license is activated. This only affects use of the Software: files already produced (FBX models, textures) are standard formats; they remain the user's property and stay usable independently of the Software, including in other tools.
11. Included content and updates
The license gives access to all features of the Software, material library included; no content is sold separately. Updates released during the license period are included. The Software tells you when a new version is available; you choose whether to install it.
12. Right of withdrawal
Under Article L. 221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for digital content not supplied on a physical medium whose performance has begun with the consumer's prior express consent and for which the consumer has waived their right of withdrawal. When ordering, the buyer expressly requests immediate delivery of the license key and acknowledges losing the right of withdrawal once it is delivered. Confirmation of this consent appears in the order receipt. The free 14-day trial (section 5) lets you evaluate the Software before any purchase.
13. Refunds
Outside the legal guarantees (section 14), refund requests are reviewed case by case, on request to [email protected] within 14 days of the order. A granted refund immediately revokes the corresponding license. Refunds are made by Lemon Squeezy to the payment method used for the order.
14. Legal guarantees
Consumers benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and services (Articles L. 224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and from the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code). In case of non-conformity, the consumer may require the Software to be brought into conformity; failing that, they may obtain a price reduction or termination of the contract. To invoke these guarantees, write to [email protected] describing the problem.
15. Liability
The Software is designed to produce standard file formats; users are advised to keep a copy of their source files and work. The Publisher is not liable for use of the Software that does not comply with these Terms or its documentation, nor for interruptions caused by force majeure. Towards professional users, and to the extent permitted by law, the Publisher's liability is limited to direct and foreseeable damage, capped at the amount paid for the current license. These limitations do not apply to consumers beyond what the law allows.
16. Revocation for breach
In case of serious breach of section 9 (in particular sharing or reselling the key, or circumventing the licensing system), the Publisher may, after a formal notice left unanswered for 15 days, revoke the license without refund. In case of payment fraud or chargeback, the license is revoked.
17. Personal data
Data processed for selling and using licenses is described in the privacy policy.
18. Third-party components
The Software includes the Assimp library, distributed under the 3-clause BSD license, and its .NET wrapper AssimpNet, distributed under the MIT license. The corresponding license notices are provided with the Software.
19. Complaints
Complaints can be sent to [email protected].
20. Governing law and language
These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory, more protective provisions of the law of the consumer's country of habitual residence. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the French courts, subject to the consumer-protective rules of jurisdiction. These Terms are written in French; in case of discrepancy with a translation, the French version prevails.
21. Changes to the Terms
The Publisher may change the Terms. The applicable Terms are those in force on the order date or, for the free trial, on the date it was started.
